The Boston Bruins improved to 3-4 on the year after running the Toronto Maple Leafs out of the building, winning 6-2. The game didn’t start out great as the B’s gave up the first goal, but shortly after they took over, scoring six straight goals including Milan Lucic’s first and Tyler Seguin, who also had an assist. Seguin who leads the Bruins in points this year made the fans happy who chanted "THANK YOU KESSEL" after Seguin’s goal. The B’s desperately needed a win tonight in their first divisional game of the year after a tough loss to the Carolina Hurricanes two days ago. Shawn Thornton got the B’s going by getting into a fight with Maple Leafs tough guy Colton Orr.
Tim Thomas looked strong once again and maybe this was the sign that the B’s have finally got their offense going. This was the most the Bruins have scored in a game all year and in addition they also scored two power play goals which is the first multiple power play goals scored in a game on the year. If the B’s can keep their play up like this they should have no problem getting the season back on track and climb their way back towards the top of the standings.

Phil Kessell's looking scary good this year. Despite this game, I don't know if Seguin will ever be as good as Kessell has become
